Scratch Course - Chapter 8

One week I bring you the chapter of the Scratch programming course for children. This week with a slight delay due to a cold that has kept filmed with a normal voice and not cough every sentence until today. Sorry. This week we introduce

the concept of multitasking. That in Scratch is understood as the ability to write a program (script) for each object (sprite) to include. Thus we get closer to the possibility of making games. In fact this week the first program will be a race car.

then introduce the concept of collision detection between objects or object against the edge.

Finally we introduce the topic of messages between objects.

To explain these three concepts can do it with an example of you asking your children or your son and a friend do a task on each. For example: "Luis is in the kitchen and brought a glass of water and you go to the storeroom and Andrea brings yesterday's newspaper. "Luis" run "the program to go for a glass of water and at the same time, multitasking, Andrea" execute "the order to bring the newspaper.

As an example of the messages simply discuss an example where a character has to do something and then tell a second person that the task is over and now he can go with it. For example: "Martin, go to the linen closet and bring some sheets for John to be able to change in his bed. "John did not do anything until Martin bring the sheets and give the message to John that already have the sheets available.

In fact the exercise of the week it is precisely as seen in the video.
